Yeah -- but Compete only measures/estimates U.S. traffic.
"Compete triangulates multiple data sources, including ISP, Panel & Toolbar to estimate U.S. traffic."
"something like that" is right.
Quantcast says about 500k monthly uniques: [www.quantcast.com]
So Compete is inaccurate bullshit just like Alexa. This is a post? WTF
I've got access to Google Analytics for a site that has 2.7m uniques/month. Compete and Quantcast both drastically undercount them compared with Google Analytics, even when you take international traffic into account. So your graph is no proof that what's-his-name is lying.
One site I can see the Google Analytics numbers on gets 2.8m uniques a month. Quantcast and Compete both drastically undercount their traffic, even when you allow for the international vs US issue. So the graph is no proof that Arrington is lying.
Sigh. Nice comment system, guys.

@Filament: What's hilarious is that your had a 100K uptick in traffic between posts. Your site must be da bomb.
@TechMerkin: He was caught in a life. Good catch.
