From the Future of Web Apps conference in Miami: "Leah Culver is trying to coin the term 'social messaging' as a way to describe Pownce." I suppose that's better than "social massaging."

socially impending
impeding
"Social *" == doomed.
As opposed to what, antisocial messaging (aka 4chan)?
When it comes to the stupidity of Web 2.0, there truly is no valley low enough.
C'mon...at least hop on the portmanteau trend and smoosh the catchphrase in to one word: shmessaging
"I suppose that's better than "social massaging.""
I have been to a social massage and hell no it ain't better.
I prefer "social massaging," because it promises a happy ending.
My favorite thing about pownce is that its so simplistic.. however noone can explain it without starting the statement off with something such as..
"It's like ::insert other startup:: but it doesn't allow for ::insert core useful feature of other startup::."
Usually followed up with a question like "Well then why do you use it?"
in which typically the answer is.. "Becuase Leah's Cute"
it's like email
@Alaska Miller: it's email 2.0
'Social*' is the new 'i*' which was the new 'e*.'
In similar news: this is retarded.
@drewB: A coworker gave me a more complete evolution:
cyber->net->e->i->my->social
So Mess?
"Fail"?
uh. I'm going to have to declare shenanigans. Social Messaging is totally better than Social Messaging.
She's pretty hot and she knows vi. 'nuff said.
I'd hit that!
@ballmer: Like a skinhead (i.e. head first)
How is messaging ever not social?
@Nicholas Carlson: Thanks to Web 2.0, the word "Social" has lost pretty much all of it's meaning. What she means is "We have no business plan" messaging.
