I think Amanda fit nicely with Rocketboom, which at least pretended to be forever an amateur production. As soon as she tried to take a more professional approach, it actually came off as less so.

Don't get me wrong, I think most mainstream media is crap. But that means that people who try to expose too much of their real selves to the public end up failing, or relegated to "filler" shows as they don't fit in with the other crap stars or the crap people who produce the shows. Deborah Norville being another good example.

Sigh. Amanda should have leveraged her following with Rocketboom, built her own internet show that she could then harness and grow that following then start positioning it in front of media/entertainment to have it SOLD. No agent, no trying to be the 'talent' as she did. There's no money and little security in being the talent, and she could have built a nice little gold mine otherwise. Instead, she hired a talent agent at a time where talent agents didn't know shit about web personalities and now....the rest is history.

Amanda is getting just what she deserves. I hope more of these web jokes go this way.
