Rumor has it Anil Hansjee, Google's head of corporate development for Europe, Middle East and Africa, wants the company to acquire Ukrainian Web portal Bigmir.net for $100 million. According to Quintura, Hansjee still thinks Google blew it when it didn't acquire Russia's Mail.ru when it had the chance. Instead, South African company Naspers took a 30 percent stake in the portal, which now gets 30 million monthly unique visitors. Bigmir.net is said to be the Ukrainian version of Mail.ru, claiming some 2.5 million monthly users. That'll show Microsoft! (Photo by marktristan)
