Some circle the wagons against interlopers. Yahoo, instead, is swinging the ax. Planned layoffs have started and are hitting high in the ranks. One of the victims, we're told, is Todd Daum, the Burbank-based VP of marketing for Yahoo's search-ads business. A few years ago, Daum championed a contest with Richard Branson to give away Yahoo ads. Too bad for him: It turns out you can't even give Yahoo's search ads away. Any other VPs laid off? Send in their names.

Im sure those guys have wads of cash lying around... They'll live.
Honestly now...do you ever wonder to yourself how is it that you pay the bills and for booze by publicizing the misery of others, when some of their friends and distant family members may not even be aware of such a thing? And then further requesting members to exploit it?
This is the last straw, I'm taking Vwag off my RSS..
@pikindaguy: Ever heard of FuckedCompany.com? VW coverage looks like puff piece compared to what Pud did in good ole' days
@pikindaguy: Do we hear from you when the little people get laid off?
@scalawag: It's still around, in slightly different form. I was there just last week.

David Karnstedt, Hillary Scheiner and Sue Decker have to be next.
He looks hot. I'll hire him as a house boy while he looks for a job up North.
when are Tim Cadogan and Jeff Weiner heading out the door? How much value do you have to destroy at this company to get their attention?
@pikindaguy: Dude - VW is providing a service for other dysfunctional companies that are looking for like-minded job candidates. I am sure eBay or some other 800lb gorilla will snap him up.
even as we speak the facebook ads will target the fired Yahoo!s with uncanny precision.
Almot like big brother is watching you....
What about Sue Decker? Did she get fired?
@pikindaguy: Bye!
This makes me really sad. I worked for Todd for several years. He's a great leader and a great person. Any company would be lucky to have him.
Todd is a good guy. He staunchly defended his people - some of which were great, and some of which were a waste of space, air, and lattes. In the end, I think that was his undoing...supporting those that contributed nothing.
