Yahoo exodus continues apace

Chris Szeto, a key developer of Yahoo Messenger has joined Meebo, the instant-messaging startup. Their new employers would have you think that they left for "exciting new challenges." But the truth is their departures say far more about Yahoo.

    Ummm, Owen, isn't there supposed to be some text after the jump.

    Like "... their departures say far more about Yahoo. The departures portend a mass exodus to me-too start-ups, which must mean that Yahoo is not start-upy enough for the rank and file. This should sit fine with Microsoft as it wouldn't know a start-up if it sat on one."

    Something like that.

    I've already started getting flooded with resumes from Yahoo colleagues. Too bad most of the good people left Y! a couple years ago.
