Digg.com goes offline while "making some changes"

Hope your blog post didn't just make the front page of Digg.com! The site is offline — in the middle of the day no less — while "changes" are made. We've got no idea what the changes might be, but unexplained downtimes in the middle of a business day suggests an unplanned outage. Got the scoop? Shoot us an email at tips@valleywag.com.

UPDATE, 10:42 A.M.: Digg has returned with no significant changes. The 'share' button still doesn't work on Macs in Safari or Firefox either.

Digg made various minor and subtle changes.

1. They added a spell check feature to submissions process.

2. They removed the number "0" from external digg buttons and replaces with a none number Digg logo.
