Here's a memo to Tyler Cowen, the economist who's built an entire thesis about America's entrepreneurial youth from the example of Ben Casnocha. The 19-year-old dreamer and philosopher, who built Comcate into the towering service business it is today, is not the typical American teenager. Nor, in fact, is he a successful entrepreneur; I doubt Comcate makes any money on its $1m turnover; Casnocha is at best a mascot for successful entrepreneurs. But the self-promoting teen is doing a cracking job selling his accumulated business wisdom — collected, ludicrously, in his book, My Start-up Life — to people who should know better, like you.
